Alessia Cara
At the age of 19, she released her debut single, Here. This single received a lot of attention and was well-liked both by critics and listeners. It reached number 19 in both Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs in 2015. In the same year, she released her first album Know It All, the track Scars to Your Beautiful ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 and Canadian Albums Chart Billboard 200. It was also one of the original five songs. It was different due to the fact that many listeners were able to relate to the conversation she conducted with rapper Rap-Up on her journey in learning to love and be her. Cara includes messages of kindness and loving yourself into her music. Her inspiration for her music is derived from her own struggle to conquer mental health issues and insomnia. According to a Reuters interview, her album is described as half tumultuous half perfected. She tells people that she discovered her development in therapy. Alessia Cara was born to Italian parents on the 11th of July 1996. Alessia Cara's parents bought her an instrument when she was 10. This was her beginning with music. She started covering her favourite songs at age thirteen to show the world she could sing and had the courage necessary to be a singer. One of the songs Sweater Weather was able to get her noticed by a label known as EP Entertainment which allowed her to create and write her tracks.
